A Rigid Spectrum

strangetab Holographic WorldHumbled by the thought of infinity
A rigid spectrum of incandescence
How we lie on our backs and gaze starward
Star shines, a billion years ago, shined
Dead now that it reaches our eyes
It’s hard to imagine that we perceive time
in straight lines, but time’s arrow
shoots forward, entropy melting our thoughts
our memories, like ice cream
on a hot summer day.
